The launch of the Lebo M Foundation in the United States
was originally inspired by and in collaboration with the 'Quincy Jones
Listen Up Foundation'. Earlier this year, Lebo officially launched his
foundation with an event held in the Conga Room of the Pantages Theatre
in Hollywood, CA.

Mission Statement
The Lebo M Foundation is an organization of South African artists and
philanthropists who are committed to the social upliftment of their
country's disadvantaged people. The foundation will work to facilitate
and provide resources to ensure a better quality of life for those who
were denied their rights by the apartheid government.
Lebo M Foundation's focus areas include the development of children
and youth from underprivileged communities and helps to provide housing
to those South Africans who are in need. Founded by Lebo M, Hugh Masekela,
Dali Tambo, Mdu Masilela, Sibongile Khumalo, Chicco Twala, Siphd "Hotstix"
Mabuse and other concerned South Africans in the entertainment industry,
the Lebo M Foundation was originally inspired by and worked in collaboration
with the 'Quincy Jones Listen Up Foundation and Artists for a New South
Africa'.
The foundation will work towards:
- Soliciting
- Mobilizing
- Managing and
- Distributing funds and other resources
to worthy causes and projects that will better the lives of those who
were affected by
past injustices and denied their rights by the apartheid government.

GOVERNOR
MBOWENI RAISES R1.6 MILLION FOR VARIETY CLUB
At
a banquet hosted recently by Governor Tito Mboweni, who is a patron
of Variety Club, corporate South Africa joined forces to raise over
$1.6 million for abused children countrywide.

Business leaders, royalty and international ambassadors all took to
heart the plight of abused children and gave generously. From the first
donation of $650,000 from Standard Bank, the offers of help came fast
and furious and by the end of the evening, over $1,6 million was raised.

- other deserving & feasible upliftment programs
